REPRESENTING
YOU
South Carolina state law provides that a property owner
may be represented by an appraiser, attorney or
accountant in any request for review or appeal of
property assessments.
If the owner should request that Henry Copeland
represent them as a qualified appraiser in an appeal of
their property assessment it would be necessary for the
owner to complete and submit the following Authorization
Agreement forms by mail (PO Box 533, Charleston, SC
29402) or by fax (843-723-0711).

Table of Estimated Fees: After a
review of your most recent assessment appraisal
by the County Assessor, a fee for my services
will be based on the size and complexity of the
appraisal assignment, using the following table
as a guide. All fees shown are inclusive of an
initial retainer fee (of $300). Total fees for
specific appeals may differ but will be agreed
upon in advance and listed within the
Authorization Agreement before it is signed by
the property owner and the appraiser. The total
fee should be less than the amount of savings
you might expect to secure through a reduction
in your assessment. Therefore, the final fee for
my services may vary slightly from the total
shown in the sample fee schedule. If your appeal
can be resolved to your satisfaction at the
local or county level, the cost certainly should
not be more than the amount shown.
